Commentary

EP and Duluth East are clear cut 1 and 2. Eagles beat a very good Prior Lake team Saturday and East beat Wayzata without Alex Spencer and Luke Dow. YHH was at both games Saturday. We will find out tonight how good LVN is...or better put, how good Stillwater is, too. Both teams playing their first game.

Big games this week for Hill Murray, Edina, BSM and Blaine, too. Next week's ranking could be completely upside down.

Still a few talented teams like St. Thomas, Holy Family and Minnetonka that could make an appearance in the top 10 with the right sequence of quality wins.

Commentary

Not much news on the Class A front last week. Cretin's win over Mahtomedi caught our eye enough to slide the Zephyrs down a peg or two. Regardless of that game, a win tonight over SPA would change everything. Despite more talent, Luverne is going to get a big win or two to be a factor in YHH T10 moving forward. East Grand Forks is up against the wall this week...they play Grand Forks, Central tonight and then travel to the Twin Cities Friday to play Breck and then SPA on Saturday. EGF Head Coach Scott Koberinski should talk to his AD about that schedule - oh wait, he is the AD!
