Tonka stays #1 in the state

Commentary

Tonka takes Christmas off, so they remain #1 in Minnesota. If Grand Forks weren't divided by the Red River, it is likely the Aviators would be #1. They got the MN monkey off their back winning a title game Sunday after losing two in November (Blue Ox, EP).

Our top ten this week is only nine deep, no team was worthy of #10. Maybe next week.

Orono is #1...again in Bantam A

Commentary

The top four teams are a horse a piece...Orono has a horse shoe of sorts, winning lots of games and tournaments without their top player Lucas Jorgenson.  Alex, PCG, and Edina all have the horses of their own to make a deep run.

Giddyup, the second half will be a wild ride (yes, that's five horse references in on Commentary).

OMG is coming on in Bantam B

Commentary

Likely the most controversial ranking of our whole lot this week. Edina White is 25-2 and has won three tournaments and still nab the number one ranking. That is because, Edina Green has only lost once and has a convincing 6-1 win over White earlier in the year.  The two teams meet again on February 2.

OMG wins the Twaddle and gains a spot in the top ten...nice work Leafbirds.
