Following the 2006 Division thriller was no easy task, but the evenly-matched 2005 Division matchup lived up to its billing.

Miracle Gold and Lake Superior battled for nearly three periods before Carter Davis netted the game-winner for Miracle Gold with just 51 seconds remaining in regulation by batting a puck past Lake Superior goaltender Garron Opsahl.

Gavin Reed and Ty Henricks scored first for Miracle Gold, followed by Austin Burnevik with a tally from Lake Superior's Max Plante sandwiched between them.

Lake Superior erased a 3-1 Miracle Gold lead in the third period behind goals from Abe Carlson and Oliver Moore before surrendering the game-winner.  

Plante was named AAA State MVP for his performance in the tourney, which included five goals and 11 points.
