Eden Prairie

2016-2017 Record: 24-5-2

Casey Mittelstadt is off to the University of Minnesota, but the Eagles may have another goal-scoring catalyst in a junior who totaled four goals last year.

Tim Piechowski picked a fabulous time to find his scoring touch, racking up eight goals and 12 points in limited time during the Elite League with Team CCM and Team Southeast. Piechowski should build on his encouraging sophomore season. Fellow junior forward Spencer Rudrud (7-10-17) should also improve after playing a part of last season a line with the departed Mittelstadt and could pair with Rhode Island native Chris Konin. Konin totaled six goals and 15 points in the Elite League.

Junior forward and Minnesota commit Jack Jensen (18-25-43) provides a veteran presence and consistent production up front, while senior defenseman Andrew Erwin and junior Sam Pajor will be asked to step into a more prominent role on defense with the departure of blue line standout Nicky Leivermann.

Newcomer Chris Konin could play a key role in the effectiveness of Eden Prairie's offense this season.
