Rochester Lourdes celebrates its game-winner in overtime of the Section 1A semifinals.

Section 1A

Rochester Lourdes 3, Albert Lea 2 (OT)

Luke Newman redirected a Seth Karsell shot off a face-off in overtime to lift No. 5 seed Rochester Lourdes to a thrilling 3-2 win over top-seeded Albert Lea in Rochester. Jared Anderson tied the game for the Eagles with under two minutes to play to force the extra session. Weston Adamson scored the first goal for Rochester Lourdes, with Carson Goodell and Alex Ulve scoring once each in the loss for Albert Lea.  

Mankato East 3, Minnesota River 1 

Goaltender Jack Cusey made 39 saves to send the No. 2 seed Mankato East Cougars to the Section 1A finals, where they will face No. 5 seed Rochester Lourdes. Parker Steindl and Sam Schulz each scored once in the win for the Cougars. 

Section 2A Quarterfinals

Orono 10, Waconia 2

Six second-goals send No. 1 seed Orono the section semifinals, as Jack Suchy tuned in a performance for the ages with three goals and seven total points. In addition to Suchy's outburst, Dane Korsi and Lucas Jorgenson each scored twice, and Tyler Olsen, Billy Lynch, and Daniel Eckerline all scored once in the win. Eighth-seeded Waconia's goals came from Nick Norling and Tommy Lindstrom. 

Minneapolis 7, Providence Academy 1

Sebastian Gholl notched two goals as Minneapolis converted on two-of-six power plays to cruise past Providence Academy and earn a matchup with Orono. Huck Sorock, Jacob Erickson, Ben Murray, Theodore Moore, and Tom Moreno all scored once for the Novas, with Providence Academy's lone goal coming from Jacob Giesler. 

Breck 2, Delano 1

No. 6 seed Breck pulls off the upset of No. 3 seed Delano, taking a 2-0 lead after two periods and holding off a late charge by the defending section champion Tigers. 

Mound-Westonka 8, Bloomington Kennedy 0

A short-handed goal by Britt Courneya sparked an eight-goal run by Mound-Westonka as the Whitehawks flew to a resounding 8-0 win over Bloomington Kennedy. 

Carter Hansen scored twice for the Whitehawks, and in addition to Courneya, Brady Aufderheide, Jack LaTour, Blake Harmer, Trey Courneya, and Ethan Vandenheuvel all added single goals. The Whitehawks advance to the 2A semifinals, where they will face Breck. 

Section 6A

St. Cloud Cathedral 9, River Lakes 1

Jack Smith totaled five points on three goals and two assists, and Blake Perbix tallied two goals and four points as top-seeded St. Cloud Cathedral sailed to a 9-1 win over No. 5 seed River Lakes. Jackson Savoie, Kevin Hayward, C.J. Zins, and James Anderson all scored once for the Crusaders. The only goal of the game for River Lakes came from Jordan Pemble. 

Alexandria 4, Sartell-St. Stephen 0

Third-seeded Alexandria picks up second win of the season over their Central Lakes Conference rival No. 2 seed Sartell-St. Stephen, and punches its ticket to the section finals where they'll meet No. 1 seed St. Cloud Cathedral.  

Section 8A

Thief River Falls 6, Warroad 4

Fourth-seeded Thief River Falls pulls off the upset of No. 1 seed Warroad to open the Section 8A semifinals in Warroad.  

East Grand Forks 6, Crookston 1 

Six players scored to propel East Grand Forks to a 6-1 win over Crookston, sending the Green Wave to the Section 8A finals and a date with fourth-seeded Thief River Falls. 

The No. 2 seed Green Wave got goals form Luke Vonesh, Mason Poolman, Justin Kallock, Coby Stauss, Austin Overgaard, and Carter Beck, with Stauss highlighting the game with five total points.
