Day 2 was loaded with exciting games
St. Paul's Luke Hause consoles Team MN Goalie Jacob Fowler after one of the Bulldog goals.
The Toronto Bulldogs kept on rolling through teams, including Team Minnesota Tuesday. Steamrolling the Green Machine 10-1. Four players had two or more goals including Rutger McGroarty who left the Mall with a Hat Collection. Later in the day, the Dawgs needed a McGroarty goal with 18 seconds left to tie the Boston Jr. Bruins and then Charlie Gollob tore the hearts out of the Boston players and fans when he scored 40 seconds into the first OT. It was a critical game, both teams were 2-0 coming into the game. The Bulldogs are in the driver's seat for the first seed in the tough Division 1.
Michael Lastarza and Dylan Roobroeck had a pair of goals for the Dawgs as they scored seven goals in the second and third period.
Team Minnesota suffered through an onslaught of Bulldog rushes and attacks. Going 1-2 to start the tournament does not mean it is over for TM. A 4-2 record is very attainable. Games versus Winnipeg, Boston and BC will be no easy task, but they will not see anyone as tough as they saw Tuesday.
