Sure Fire Stars that will make their mark on the big stage

Gavin Hain is a dominant force for Grand Rapids

Joe "Mouse" Miller is always factor for the Storm.

It has often said that big games often feature big time players making big time players. This weekend all over the state, big time players will step up. Here are two handfuls and we handful in more way than one. This list has some big players (Warner, Gleason, and Hain) and few not so big (Miller and Kimmes). But no matter their size, they will likely deliver for their teams when it matters most.

The best part of the weekend will be the player that will make a new name for themselves with their play.

Last year Brennan Boynton made 72 saves for Champlin Park in St. Cloud. Trevor Janicke poured in a pile of goals for OMG to lead his team to state in PeeWee AA. And, both St. Paul teams came out of nowhere and won state at PeeWee A and Bantam A.

Matthew Gleason will be at marked man in Blaine this weekend

1. Gavin Hain, Grand Rapids Bantam AA - a dominant force for the Thunderhawks, Hain is the total package. Fast, strong and a great nose for the net.

2. Matthew Gleason, St. Paul PeeWee A - is a dangerous player...a goal scorer that passes the puck with great precision.

3. Joey Pierce, Ely PeeWee B - will score goals in bunches, must be contained before he enters the zone. Great player that can be a show stopper.

4. Mitchell Kohner, Rosemount PeeWee AA - great skill, with a high motor...Kohner is a great competitor for the Irish.

Orono's Davey Burns is a finisher for the Spartans

5. Davey Burns, Orono Bantam A - one of many great players for the Spartans who are fun team to watch. Burns has size, speed and a great knack for scoring.

6. Kobe Kimmes, Prior Lake Bantam B - great speed, is great in tight spaces - bona fide scoring threat every time he hits the ice.

7. Jack Perbix, Elk River Bantam AA - the most gifted first year Bantam in Minnesota, is lethal with the puck. Every Goalie in St. Cloud needs to know where #12 is at all times.

8. Cece Ziegler, St. Paul U12A - a very exciting player with great vision and fantastic hands.

9. Joe Miller, Minneapolis PeeWee AA - his lack of size often leaves him under detected by other teams...a great goal scorer and playmaker.

10. Nathan Warner, St. Cloud PeeWee AA - has the body and game of a Bantam...can take over the game in an instant.
