East Grand Forks Forward Coby Stauss

Keegan Karki stops Summer teammate Colin Schmidt in the second half Sunday
Game four was one of the best games of the tournament. District 3 and District 5 had several players familiar with one another due to off season Minnesota hockey. A win for either team would give that team bragging rights for the unofficial White Pool title.
District wasted little time getting on the board when Minnetonka's K'Andre Miller scored on the first shift on a pretty pass from Maple Grove's Jordan Randall. D5 answered back a few minutes later when Monticello's Jacob Wickham scored on a high dump in shot that handcuffed Orono's Evan Babekuhl and snuck in the net. In an odd hockey twist, Babekuhl had robbed D5 two previous times minutes prior. Jake Rosenberger got the game winning goal for D5 late in the second half on a shallow angle shot from the corner.
St. Cloud's Keegan Karki played the entire game for D5 and was easily the number 1 star of the game shutting down D3 on a number of chances in the final minutes.
Jack Bayless with pretty move Sunday
Game 5 was the game of the day. A civil war between the North's best team, District 11 who had gone 2-0 in the Festival and the Metro's best team the vaunted District 6 team that had outscored its opponents 11-4 in their first two wins. Sunday's game was played for the unofficial Red Pool title.
D6 came out flying scoring two quick goals. Both by Edina teammates Ben Brinkman and Demetrious Koumontzis. D11 would answer when Ian Mageau scored from a bad angle. State Champion Jack Bayless got D6 back up by two when he used his illegal jet powered skates to burn past a D11 defenseman to score on a pretty backhander. '14 Wiz Wyatt Finalist Landon Langenbrunner would get his fifth goal of the Festival with 24 seconds left in the half to cut the D6 lead to 3-2 at the break.
Gavin Rasmussen scores for District 11 Sunday
The crazy game got crazier in the second half when Grant Docter scored to start the period with a high bouncing puck shot from center ice to give d6 a 4-3. District 11 would fight back and score the next goals. Levi Stauber beat a screened Charlie Glockner with a wrist shot from the slot and then Cloquet's Gavin Rasmussn stuffed home a shot five hole to tie the score at 4-4. Minutes later, Edina's Bjorn Swanson showed some spunk and found a hole short side to give D6 the lead back at 5-4. As they had done all game, District 11 fought back and pressured Glockner, but he came up with two big saves to keep the score 5-4. Then, with four minutes to go, Edina's Ben Brinkman fired a cannon from the point that appeared to hit traffic (or teammate Ryan Lesko's stick) and into the net to ice the game for D6. The two teams would trade late goals for a final score of 7-5.
The stars came out Sunday in this game. Brinkman showed why he is widely considered the best '19 class player in Minnesota scoring 2 goals. Landon Langenbrunner was hard to handle the entire game for District 11. Many in attendance on both sides of the bleachers agreed that this was the best game between the best two teams. One fan wondered, "how do you keep any of these kids out of the next phase in St. Cloud."
