Jack Bayless get GWG in 9 Man Shootout Wednesday

Brady Meyer scores for the B's Wednesday night

On Monday night, the Wild snuck up on the Bruins and tied them in regulation and then stole a point from them in a Shootout. On Wednesday, the Bruins weren't going to make the same mistake. They converted on their opportunities early in the first and just kept on pushing on the gas, putting the game into running time early in the second half as they cruised to a 7-0 win and an important three points in the BEL.

The story of the game was the play of Wayzata Goalie Bailey Huber, who had a 37 save shutout, including an awesome diving paddle save to keep the B's up 2-0 in the first period. Former Gopher and Head Coach of the Bruins Jake Fleming said afterward, "Huber was fantastic, the game could have bee a lot closer hadn't it been for him tonight."

Offensively, league scoring leader Jack Jensen made the most of his chances getting his second hat trick of the season. After ten games, Jensen leads the league with 11 goals and 9 assists.

Ethan Benz ties it for the Bolts in the 2nd Half

Every night in the BEL there seems to be a crazy drama filled finish. On Monday the Wild and Bruins went wire to wire in a high scoring affair that ended in a Shootout W for the Wild. On Wednesday, there was just as much drama and action, but Wednesday was a night for the Goalies. Jacob Gathje was outstanding for the Flyers and the 1-2 punch of Cade Kujawski and Will Johnson for the Bots were also great.

The Flyers got the lone goal in the first half when Ryan Antonakis went end to end and flushed one past Johnson through traffic. Ethan Benz got the equalizer for the Bolts halfway through the second half when he snuck past a sprawling Gathje to tie it 1-1.

After the game was declared a tie, the boys from both teams went at in the tie breaking shootout. After eight and a half rounds, Jack Bayless beat Gathje on the backhand to give the Bolts the extra point and a one point lead over the Bruins in the BEL standings.

The Pens got a goal and an assist from Bryce Brodzinski as they improved to 3-6 in the regular season. Newcomer Bobby Brink got his second goal in two games - making heads turn with his great hands and quick release on his shot.

Ryan Lesko got an insurance goal for the Pens and they added an empty net goal to seal the win 4-1 over the Kings.
