Prior Lake's Matt Beatty had a three goals and an assist to lead the Magicians to a 10-1 win over Skate to Excellence to kick off the MN Meltdown at Eden Prairie Community Center. The Magic lead 2-0 after one and then exploded for four goals in the second period, one on a rocket by Apple Valley's Jack Novak who finished with a goal and two assists.
The Magicians got goals from seven different skaters as they cruised to an easy win. The Magicians are off Friday and will hit the ice Saturday morning against the Colorado Kodiaks.

New Generation nearly let a three-goal slip away late in regulation, surrendering a goal to Tommy Chicago Green with just over four minutes to play to shrink the lead to 3-2.
New Generation, which will play the Thunder Bay Bandits, was able to hang on for the win, thanks to three first period goals from Grady O'Neill, Austin Stoneking and Carson Peterson. Peterson also notched an assist on O'Neill's goal.
Jack DeBaere and Nate Messerich scored for Tommy Chicago Green, which will face the Minnesota Mavericks on Friday.

Gradient AAA scored four goals in the first, six in the second, and added three goals in the third en route to a 13-1 win over the Minnesota Magicians Red on Thursday night.
Six players scored goals for Gradient AAA, with Chaz Lucius, Cruz Lucius and Bennett Schimek leading the way with three goals each.
Tyler Chamberlin scored two goals, and Bailey McGraw and Zach Reim scored one goal each for Gradient.

Hometown Hockey scored three goals in the third period to overcome a 3-2 deficit and edge Tommy Chicago Green 5-4 on day one.
Carter Ashworth scored two goals for Hometown, while Nolan Peterson, Noah Martin and Bryce Berg each scored one goal apiece. Logan Seward dished out three assists for Hometown.
Zander Billins scored twice for Tommy Chicago Green, with Hudson Hatfield and Max Nagel chipping in one goal each.

Euro American Red got off to a fast start blanking Hometown Hockey 9-0 in the first game of the MN Meltdown at Brooklyn Park Arena on Thursday night. Osseo Maple Grove star forward Jack Kernan had three goals and Wes Johnson turned away 17 shots for the Reds as they cruised to an easy victory.
Euro will take on the Magicians Saturday and Hometown will face Precision out of Illinois in their next game.
