After two days of hockey, many of the projected favorites are off to a flying start and some of the mystery teams are no longer a mystery. YHH has seen almost all of the levels of invite so far, with more action tomorrow.

We projected MAP North as the favorite, they haven't disappointed yet beating their opponents 15-3 in their first two games. They better keep an eye on the Northern WI Blizzards, they are also 2-0 after two games.

As we said in the preview, the '02 pools are rich in talent. Four teams are undefeated after two days, Hockey Factory, Machine Black, Northern Wings and Velocity are undefeated...after Saturday, that will all change.

Tourney favorite Lake Superior Stars lead their pool with a 2-0 start. O & S Cattle are also out to a fast start going 2-0. These two teams seem to be on a collision course for Sunday.

The visiting teams are faring well at the Independent '04s. WI Flyers and Hockey Factory are out to a 2-0 start as are the Fox City Bulldogs. Likely one of these teams hits their stride as the weekend progresses.

The '05s are looking good this weekend, two teams have separated from the field, the Dakota Thunder and the Velocity Black. They play Saturday at 3:45 pm, it is anyone's guess who wins that one.

MN Blades and Machine Black are cruising, both are 2-0. They play the final game of pool play Sunday and could face each other again Sunday afternoon in the finals.
