No Shock: Shootout off to Flying Start

With the bevy of spring tournaments played at the AAA level, the Shock Doctor Shootout offers players and fans something different.

Before each game, the teams duel in a shootout of five players each for two additional points, which can play a significant role when it comes time to sort teams into playoff brackets.

In addition to raising a team's spot in its pool, the pregame shootout is a time for players to showcase the stick skills not seen as often during regular gameplay.

YHH will provide coverage all weekend for the tournament, and Friday's scores from the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 levels have been provided below.

Stay tuned for coverage from Saturday and Sunday's games, plus pictures.

Blake Anderson (11) goes top shelf for the Yuro Stars on Day 1.

The Dakota Thunder downed Easton Stealth on Friday by a score of 7-0.
