SHOCK DOC: Saturday Provides Surprises

Day two of competition is usually deemed "Separation Saturday," but with the unique scoring system of the Shock Doctor Shootout, YHH is leaving the predictions until the final games of the evening have been decided.

The scoring system, which includes points for winning a pregame five-player shootout, throws an intriguing wrench into the mix, with some teams making up for traditional losses with wins in the skills portion.

Two anomalies stood out on the second day of play; the 4-4 tie in the 2003 Division between frontrunners Euro American and the Xperience Bulldogs and the shutout trend in Pool A and Pool C of the 2004 Division.

The tie between Euro American and Xperience complicates things for the '03s, with the aforementioned shootout success playing a key role in Sunday's seeding.

In the '04s, Pool C saw all four of its Saturday games played to shutouts, with a 0-0 tie between Pool C's Mustangs Green and Tommy Chicago Gold capping a day that feature eight blank sheets between the two pools.

While all YHH has is scores from the day, check out the tournament page for more information about Sunday's schedule.

Luke Schroeder snaps home his own rebound in '03 Euro American's 4-4 tie with Xperience on Saturday night.

Camden Dean (12) nets a goal for New Generation in a win over Fusion on Saturday.
