Numbers Never Lie

Day four, and the time spent between players is coming to a rapid close.

Two games apiece for every team were played on Saturday, after the highly-anticipated skills testing. The tests were run by the LumberYard staff, and tracked players' strength, speed quickness and shooting ability both on and off the ice.

The full final results of those tests will be published at a later date, but early standouts include Kyle Ahlschlager and Sawyer Seidl of Grey 1 and Gold 1 respectively. Ahlschlager topped the charts with 29 box jumps in 20 seconds and 66 sit-ups in 60 seconds.

Seidl set a new NOW Prospects Combine record with 20 pull-ups (until failure) and totaled 93 inches in two long-jump attempts. White 2's Hunter Hady led all participants in the 5-10-5 shuttle run at 5.01 seconds and hit 59 miles-per-hour in the wristshot category.

Seidl also topped all players in the hardest slapshot category, posting a Combine-best of 78 miles-per-hour. Seidl's mark is the second-highest recorded in the Combine's three years behind 2016's Joey Pierce (80 MPH).

Kyle Ahlschlager was a standout in Saturday's skills testing.

They've Got Spirit

Playing in such close quarters as a sheet of ice designed for three-on-three competition inevitably leads to closer confrontation, and the teams played their games to the hilt on Saturday in a series of spirited affairs.

Grey 1 and White 2 emerged as title game participants. Leading Grey 1 in scoring is Ty Tuccitto with 16 goals and pacing White 2 is Luke Steffen with 18 tallies.

Facing off in the third place game will be Gold 2 and Gold 1 with Grey 2 and White 1 playing the fifth place game.

Maroon 2 and Maroon 1 will square off in the first consolation game of the day.

Maxwell Roby is tied for third in three-on-three play with 15 goals in three games.
