Grey takes the win at Mariucci, but Maroon takes the title.

William Matzke scores the game-winner for Team White on Friday.

Maroon Wins Big Ice in Tiebreaker

Due to a tiebreaker in scoring differential, Team Maroon skated away with the best record in the Mariucci series thanks to Team White's clutch win over Team Gold in the second game of the afternoon.

The tiebreaker ended up being fewest goals allowed, and Team Maroon's goaltenders Alec Juenke and Cole Sitar stood tall for all three games in Minneapolis.

Team Grey did earn a win on the day, handing Team Maroon its first loss by a score of 4-2 behind goals by Reed Kluender, Riley Dueber, Kemry Stich and Kaden Spaniol.

Trent Stansberry scored both goals in the loss for Team Maroon.

Zachary Seltun, Brody Lamb and Williams Matzke all scored for Team White in the second game, with Matze scoring the game-winner late in the second half.

Team Gold had goals from Gavin O'Connell and Jackson Blake in the losing effort.

Leo Gruba's presence on the blue line helped give Team Maroon the edge in goals allowed.
