Potter's Pumpkins, MPH '07's Pick Up Wins

Halloween is still two weeks away, but that doesn’t stop The Pond in Rosemount from amping up the spooky factor during its annual Spooktacular Three-on-Three tournament.

The bats competing in the tourney got off to a collective flying start on Wednesday night, with Potter’s Pumpkins downing the 2025’s 21-13 in the Squirt Division.

The Pumpkins jumped out to a 7-2 lead early in the game en route to the victory, powered by a seven-goal performance from Jaden Kertz and six-goal evening by Mason Jenson. Dylan Otten added four goals in the win for the Pumpkins, while Christian Garrity paced the 2025’s with six tallies.

The second game of the evening was an all-MPH affair, with the MPH ’07’s taking on MPH.

The ’07’s emerged with a 13-9 victory, with the action nearly chewing up the ice all the way down to the concrete beneath it.

Daylin Cline and Andrew Brown each paced the ’07’s with three goals, a total equaled by only MPH skater, Jacob Miller.

As of Wednesday night, Jaden Kertz of Potter’s Pumpkins leads all scorers in the Squirt Division with seven goals.

Jacob Miller was a bright spot for MPH in Wednesday's loss, netting three goals.
