Spooktacular Enters Day Three of Competition

Youth Hockey Hub took a spin around the metro area on Friday night, and the miles traveled were rewarded with some quality hockey at multiple levels. 

The Spooktacular Three-on-Three tournament in Rosemount is coming up on its home stretch, as the Squirt teams have managed to separate in the standings after three days of competition. 

Potter's Pumpkins lead the division with a spotless 3-0-0-0 record, outscoring opponents 59-32 in the process. Mason Jenson and Dylan Otten have been a two-man wrecking crew for the Pumpkins, with Jenson leading the division with 20 goals through three games and Otten adding 14. The MPH '07's and the 2025's are currently tied for second, with Team Yeti and MPH bringing up the rear.

October Showcase Kicks Off

Minnesota Made's October Showcase features some of the top Bantam Minor teams and some of the best 2004-born players in the country, and Friday shined the spotlight even brighter on these standout squads and athletes. 

The 2004 Minnesota Fire rolled to a pair of wins on Friday, thumping the Madison Capitols 12-2 before polishing off the Lost Angeles Jr. Kings 11-2 in the nightcap. Nick Pierre and Cole Spicer currently lead the team in scoring, with Pierre totaling six goals and nine points and Spicer tallying three goals and six assists for nine points. 

Dallas Stars Elite slipped past Chicago Mission in the other late game, with Jett Otwell scoring the eventual game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory. The Stars are also 2-0 as of Friday night, having beaten the Chicago Young Americans 3-1 earlier on Friday behind two goals by Aiden Stubbings.
