Bantam AA Preview, Spooktacular In Full Swing

The Upper Midwest High School Elite League is not the only format that features the bulk of the state's top players in one place on any given weekend.

The Centennial Bantam AA Preview shines a light on some of the top talents at that level in the state, with 12 teams competing at the Centennial Ice Arena over the course of four days, treating fans to a peek at what's to come in the season.

Osseo-Maple Grove flexed its muscles in an 8-1 win over Andover on Saturday, featuring a deep and talented lineup with no discernible weakness. Kyle Kukkonen led the way statistically with two goals and an assist, with six other players scoring one goal.

The Leafbirds have outscored opponents 17-2 through two games, having defeated Blaine 9-1 on the preview's opening day.

In Rosemount, the Spooktacular concluded its round-robin play, with Potter's Pumpkins and the MPH '07's emerging as tops in the Squirt Division.

The two will play Sunday at 4:40 for the Spooktacular Squirt crown. Mason Jenson of Potter's Pumpkins leads the division with 31 goals through four games, with Christian Garrity of the 2025's coming in second with 24 tallies.
