Gentry Academy at Blake (Nov. 12, 2:00 PM)

This is an intriguing matchup of metro area private schools as they hope to make a statement that they should be a part of the Class AA championship conversation. Which team will make some noise with a victory in this one?

Gentry Academy returns after losing in the Class AA third-place game to Edina last year. The Stars bring back a roster full of skill up front, including seniors Cara Sajevic (St. Thomas commit), Alexa Hanrahan (St. Cloud State commit), and Rachel Agerter carry most of the offensive load for Gentry Academy.

On defense, seniors JuliAnna Gazdik (Minnesota State-commit) and Jenessa Gazdik (Minnesota State-commit) are one of the best pairings in the state. At goaltender, senior Zoe Laming returns as Gentry Academy's starter.

The Blake School was bounced in the Section 6AA semifinals by Edina last year.

The Bears return quality firepower at forward in Ivy League-bound seniors Suzy Higuchi (Yale commit), Sam Broz (Brown commit), and Ellie Morrison (Dartmouth commit). On defense, senior Ani Fagley and eighth-grader Addie Wethington will be tasked with trying to slow down Gentry Academy's dynamic offense.

Between the pipes, senior Abby Ziehl had nine starts last year for the Bears and will likely be Blake's go-to option.
