Gentry Academy at Andover 11/19 (2 PM)

Gentry Academy's Jenessa Gazdik netted a hat trick in the Stars' win over Blake last week.

Last weekend, Gentry Academy cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Blake Bears, and they will hope to make another statement against defending Class AA champion Andover. The Huskies passed their first test of the season with a 3-0 victory over rival Edina. Andover plays Blake on Thursday, which may give you a barometer for what to expect in this game.

Gentry Academy is led at forward by seniors Cara Sejevic (Saint Thomas commit) and Campbell Heger (Sacred Heart commit). On defense, seniors Rylee Avelar and Jenessa Gadzik (Minnesota State commit) are a solid two-way game that few teams can match. Gadzik had a hat trick against Blake. Senior goaltender Zoe Laming will likely get the start against Andover.

The Huskies are led up front by a trio of Saint Thomas commits in seniors Ella Boerger (3-1-4) and Madison Brown (2-1-3), as well as junior Nora Sauer (2-2-4). On defense, junior Cailin Mumm (0-2-2, Saint Thomas commit) and gifted sophomore Courtney Little (1-4-5) make for a formidable duo on the back end. Senior goaltender Courtney Stagman has earned shutouts in both of her starts this season.

Nora Sauer has two goals and four points this season for the Huskies.
