There will be no shortage of orange in the stands with this matchup between the Bears and Thunder. Will the Orange Hat Society make another appearance in Grand Rapids? Which orange team will reign supreme?  

The Bears will be looking for its first win of the season after a tough 3-0 loss to Woodbury. At forward, the Bears lean on junior Hailey Dawe (2 goals, 1 assist, 3 points) as well as sophomores Amanda Smythe (1-1-0) and Talia Domschot (0-2-2).

On defense, sophomore Grace Bailey (0-1-1) and freshman Olivia Simpkins (0-1-1) will try to shut down Grand Rapids / Greenway's formidable top line. Senior goaltender Maya Marston (.885 save percentage) has started in every game this season.  

The Thunder are coming off a hard-fought 5-3 loss to Rogers. Grand Rapids / Greenway is led up front by sophomore Mercury Bischoff (5-4-9) and senior Kalle Reed (1-7-8), who pace the Thunder offense. Defending has been the issue so far this season for the Thunder, especially on the penalty kill, where they sport a 57.1% success rate.

On defense, senior Jazzy Bischoff (0-2-2) and junior Cali Madsen (1-0-1) lead a young stable of defenders for Grand Rapids / Greenway. Senior Samantha Baratto (.822 save percentage) has carried most of this year's goaltending load.
