Who doesn't love an intriguing metro versus outstate matchup? The Skippers hope to continue their strong start to the season, and the Warriors would like to show they can compete with the best in Class AA.  

Minnetonka is coming off a tough 4-3 loss to Andover. At forward, seniors Ava Lindsay (Minnesota commit) and Grace Sadura (Minnesota Duluth commit), along with juniors Laura Distad (Minnesota commit) and Lindzi Avar (Cornell commit), give the Skippers plenty of skill up front.

On defense, senior Elly Klepinger(Minnesota commit) and sophomore Bella Finnegan (1-0-1) help suffocate opponents. Minnetonka has split starts at goaltender between sophomores Layla Hemp (.926 save percentage) and Ashlyn Hazlett (one shutout) this season.

The Warriors battled to a 3-3 tie against Central Lakes rival Alexandria on Tuesday. At forward, seniors Macy Peterson (3-1-4), Molly Pohlkamp (3-1-4), and Molly Hagalie (1-2-3), as well as junior Peyton LeMieur (2-0-2), pace the Warriors' offense.

On defense, senior Lucy Peterson (1-3-4) and junior Mercedez Engstrom (0-2-2) will face their most formidable challenge yet this season as they will try to hold the Skippers' formidable offense in check. Senior goaltender Breya Sawyer (.893 save percentage) has had all of the Warriors' starts this season.
