Mahtomedi at Benilde-St. Margaret's (Nov. 29, 7:00 PM)

Carter Haycraft, Mahtomedi

The Zephyrs are coming off a 5-0 rout of Little Falls over the weekend. Mahtomedi is led at forward by seniors Seth Nelson (4 goals, 1 assist, 5 points), Carter Haycraft (2-1-3), Charlie Drage (1-2-3), and Jonny Grove (0-3-3).

Senior defenseman Cav Bruner (1-0-1) leads an experienced defense corps that also features juniors Cole Swanson (0-2-2) and William Brummel (0-1-1), who possess size and strength to help make Mahtomedi tough to score against.

Standout goaltender Ben Dardis has graduated, so the Zephyrs have split starts between junior Charlie Brandt (.931 save percentage) and senior Andrew Reister (1 shutout) in two games this season.

The Red Knights have yet to play this season, so they will get an early challenge against one of the better teams in Class A.

Up front, Benilde-St. Margaret's is led by juniors Drew Stewart (Notre Dame commit), Michael Risteau, and Gentry Academy transfer Wes Berg will be leaned upon to lead the way offensively.

On defense, the Red Knights lost talented defensemen Tristan Sarsland and Brady Yakesh to graduation. They will likely rely on 6'3" junior Gavin Reed to elevate his game, as well as talented 6'5" sophomore Mace'o Phillips.

Junior Mason McElroy returns as the Red Knights' go-to option at goaltender.
