HOLY FAMILY AT BLAKE (DEC. 6, 7:00 PM)

Taylor Koeppl, Holy Family

This should be an intriguing battle between two metro area private schools.

Holy Family is hoping to rebound after a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Edina. The Fire is led at forward by seniors Taylor Koeppel (Saint Anselm commit, 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points), Grayson Limke (Sacred Heart commit, 1-2-3), and Maddy Helmstetter (St. Thomas commit, 2-1-3). The Fire has some depth in talented youngsters like sophomore Josie Linn (0-4-4), plus freshmen Haley Box (3-3-6) and Katya Sander (2-0-2) are showing a lot of promise.

On defense, seniors Ella Knewtson (Long Island University commit, 0-3-3) and Justina Valentini (1-2-3). Holy Family's 94.4% penalty kill doesn't give opponents much hope.

Blake is feeling confident after a 6-1 victory over Cretin-Derham Hall. The Bears are led up front by seniors Suzy Higuchi (Yale commit, 11-9-20) and Sam Broz (9-9-18). As discussed on the latest episode of Youth Hockey Hub's Her Ice, the biggest question mark for the Bears is can they get some secondary scoring? One player who might be emerging as the answer to that question is Callie Arthur (2-5-7).

On defense, seniors Jackie Wethington (2-5-7) and Charlotte Opp (0-3-3) do what they can to neutralize opponents' scoring chances.

At goaltender, the Bears have split starts between senior Abby Ziehl (.879 save percentage) and Janie McGawn (.925 save percentage.) this season.
