Who doesn't love an all-northern school showdown played in the always energetic confines of IRA Civic Center in Grand Rapids?

Proctor/Hermantown is hoping to regain momentum after a 5-2 loss to Class AA Champlin Park / Coon Rapids last Friday. The Mirage is led up front by juniors Izy Fairchild (Bemidji State commit, 4-2-6) and Hannah Graves(4-2-6), senior Reese Heitzman (5-2-7), as well as sophomore Jane Eckstrom (4-2-6) gives Proctor / Hermantown a fair amount of scoring through its top two lines.

On defense, seniors Sophie Parendo (1-3-4) and Ava Anick (1-1-2), as well as junior Morgan LaValley (2-3-5), bring well-seasoned experience at both ends of the ice. Proctor/Hermantown's 95.4% penalty kill is a good example of how well the Mirage can lock things down defensively.

At goaltender, freshman Suri Langley (1.67 goals against average) has carried most of the workload this season, but the Mirage have given sophomore Neelah McLeod (.921 save percentage) some starts as well.

Grand Rapids-Greenway is hoping to go on a run after a 7-3 rout of Shakopee. The Lightning's offense is driven by the top line anchored by sophomore Mercury Bischoff (11-13-24), senior Kalle Reed (3-15-18), and junior Molly Pierce (4-10-14). This line represents most of Grand Rapids/Greenway's scoring, so it simultaneously represents their greatest strength and its Achilles' heel.

On defense, senior Jazzy Bischoff (0-3-3), as well as juniors Allie LeClaire(1-3-4) and Cali Madsen (2-1-3), try to limit opposing scoring chances as well as supporting the Lightning's attack. Their penalty kill has struggled a bit (75.9%), but Grand Rapids-Greenway would be wise to avoid too many trips to the penalty box against the Mirage.

At goaltender, the Lightning has split starts between senior Samantha Baratto (.828 save percentage) and junior Riley Toivonen (.902 save percentage) this season.
