This is an intriguing west metro matchup between Section 2A Providence Academy and Section 6AA Robbinsdale Armstrong/Cooper.
Providence Academy is likely still feeling the sting of a 3-2 loss to Hutchinson last Thursday. The Lions are led by a 1-2 punch at forward of junior Louie Wehmann (15-12-27) and senior Johnny Hendrickson (8-8-16). Despite its loss to Hutchinson, Providence Academy's power play is still very dangerous, converting at a 33.3% rate.
On defense, sophomore Jesse Varner (1-4-5) and junior Nick Damberg (2-1-3) patrol the blueline and try to force opposing skaters to the perimeter.

Armstrong/Cooper is feeling confident after a 5-2 victory over Hopkins. The Wings' are led by their potent top line of juniors Dane Yeager (4-6-10), Tanner Rausch (5-4-9), and Jameson Essen (7-3-10). Their power play has gotten off to a fast start, and they have been converting 29.4% of their opportunities with the man advantage.
On the blueline, seniors Sam Burns (3-5-8) and Cole Majkozak (1-7-8) are the workhorses for the Wings defensively.
Senior goaltender Henry Dimich (2.40 goals against average) has started every game for Armstrong/Cooper this season.
