Forest Lake at East Ridge (Dec. 20, 7:30 PM)

Malia McKinnon, Forest Lake

Forest Lake is coming off a 6-1 loss to Suburban East rival Stillwater. The Rangers are led at forward by seniors Malia McKinnon (5-5-10), Ellie Zowin (3-1-4), and Maddy Moyette (2-3-5). Scoring has been a challenge for Forest Lake most of the season, and it will be essential to keep the game a low-scoring affair against the Raptors.

The Rangers' power play (22.2%) has been a bright spot this season, as McKinnon and Pool make for a potent power-play duo.

On defense, junior Samantha Pool (3-3-6), as well as seniors Julia Hayek (1-2-3) and Hailey Stanius (1-2-3), do a decent job of limiting opposing scoring chances and chipping in offensively as well.

At goaltender, freshman Taylor Thompson (.874 save percentage, 1 shutout) has carried most of the workload this season for the Rangers, but they have also utilized senior Adria Haley (.923 save percentage, 1 shutout).

East Ridge is coming off against Roseville/Mahtomedi. The Raptors' attack is led by senior Lily Fetch (4-12-16), Vivian Ferrell (6-5-11), and Bella Schmidt (4-5-9). Talented sophomores Addison Andre (7-11-18) and Cheyne Walz (3-2-5) also give East Ridge consistent goal-scoring most nights.

On defense, junior Allie Warner (2-1-3), as well as sophomores Kaylah Latta (0-3-3) and Keira Limpert (0-2-2), are committed defensively. East Ridge's penalty kill has been suffocating opposing power plays at a 96.4% success rate.

The Raptors have split starts between seniors Annika Limpert (.925 save percentage) and Shannon Garrity (.904 save percentage) this season.
