New Ulm at Hutchinson (Dec. 20, 7:30 PM)

Undefeated New Ulm feels confident after a 12-3 rout of Waseca. The Eagles are led up front by a potent top line of juniors Austin Uecker (10-16-26), Kadon Larson (10-6-16), and Bryer Lang (6-8-14).

Hutchinson would be wise to avoid the penalty box as New Ulm's power play has been finding the back of the net at a 30.4% rate.

On defense, seniors Jack Albrecht (4-6-10), Ben Hohensee (1-7-8), and Dawson Krause (2-4-6) bring size and well-seasoned poise to New Ulm's back end. Their penalty kill has been decent, shutting down opponents at an 88.2% rate.

Junior goaltender Bryer Hoffman (5-0 record, .932 save percentage) has played well, but he hasn't been tested much this season, as he's only had to face an average of about 20 shots per game.

Hutchinson is coming off a 3-1 loss against Wright County conference rival Delano on Saturday. Up front, sophomores Manny Pearce (2-4-6), Emmett Reiter (4-2-6), and Elliott Ladwig (4-2-6) make up a group of forwards that play a blue-collar, hard-checking style.

On defense, senior Nolan Reiter (0-2-2), junior Gunnar Bick (0-1-1), and sophomore Toren Miller (2-2-4) are a big reason Hutchinson has only been giving up 2.17 goals per game.

At goaltender, Hutchinson has split starts between sophomore Lukas Heilman (.928 save percentage) and senior Hunter Lien (.933 save percentage) this season.
