Eastview at Park of Cottage Grove (Jan. 5, 7:30 PM)

Logan Opgrand, Eastview

This an intriguing game with plenty of seeding ramifications for Section 3AA as Eastview pays a visit to Park of Cottage Grove.

Eastview is coming off a 3-2 loss to Lakeville South back on December 17th, giving the Lightning plenty of time to practice and prepare for their game against the Wolfpack. The Lightning is led at forward by senior John Kisch (2-16-18), as well as juniors Jordan Brothers (10-5-15) and Zach Wooten (3-10-13) which give Eastview two balanced scoring lines. Eastview's power play has been deadly efficient, finding the back of the net 48.8% of the time.

On defense, seniors Logan Opgrand (4-7-11) and Nick Karam (0-3-3), along with junior Kevin Woehler (0-3-3), don't give up many quality scoring chances, as Eastview only allows around 2.12 goals per game.

6'3" senior goaltender Jay Svaren (2.01 goals against average, 2 shutouts) has started in every game this season for the Lightning.

Park of Cottage Grove is coming off a 5-2 loss to Cloquet-Esko-Carlton. The Wolfpack are led up front by senior Colton Porter (7-7-14), who leads a 'pack' of sophomores in Jackson Rudh (11-17-28), Owen Corkish (10-13-23), and Gavin Moss (10-12-22). Park of Cottage Grove's power play has been strong, operating at a 34.3% clip.

On defense, senior Brendan Bloedel (1-3-4), junior Adam Friemann (1-5-6), and sophomore Caden Schultz (1-4-5) try to help the Wolfpack stay on the attack.

Senior goaltender Alex Harden (2.77 goals against average) has carried most of the workload between the pipes for Park of Cottage Grove this season.
