Chanhassen at Benilde-St. Margaret's at (Jan 26, 7:00 PM)

Jack Christ, Chanhassen

This is an intriguing west metro matchup as Section 2AA Chanhassen challenges Section 6AA Benilde-St. Margaret's in what might be a good indicator game for both teams as we get closer to section play.

Chanhassen is coming off a 4-1 victory over Chaska and is currently riding a 15-game win streak. The Storm is led at forward by juniors Gavin Uhlenkamp (Wisconsin commit, 7-20-27), Tyler Smith (12-12-24), Jack Christ (11-13-24), Brayden Willis (10-6-16), and Caden Lee (10-8-18). Chanhassen's power play is dangerous and efficient at 31.9%.

On the blueline, seniors Col Baker (0-9-9) and Mathias Bosch (0-10-10), as well as juniors Owen Buesgens (4-13-17) and Drew Jensen (2-8-10), are a well-rounded defense corps.

Junior Kam Hendrickson (.947 save percentage, 6 shutouts) has carried most of the goaltending duties this season for the Storm. Still, they have also given senior Brady Marsh (.964 save percentage) some opportunities.

Benilde-St. Margaret's is coming off an 8-2 rout against a pesky Champlin Park team. The Red Knights forward group is led by junior Drew Stewart (Notre Dame commit, 17-17-34), Michael Risteau (Western Michigan commit, 10-11-21), as well as seniors Wes Berg (9-11-20) and Ryan Baird (7-7-14). Benilde-St. Margaret's power play is operating at 30.8%.

On defense, juniors Mason Stenger (3-9-12) and Gavin Reed (0-9-9), and sophomore Mace'o Phillips (4-11-15) are a nice mix of size and puck-moving ability.

Junior Mason McElroy (.896 save percentage) has shouldered most of the goaltending workload this season, but they have given senior Brennan Chapman (2.71 goals against average) some opportunities as well.
