Centennial/Spring Lake Park at Blake (Feb. 4, 2:00 PM)

Noelle Hemr, Centennial/Spring Lake Park

Here's an intriguing late-season matchup between two teams hoping to make some noise going into postseason play.

Centennial/Spring Lake Park is coming off a 6-0 rout of North Wright County. Senior Lauren O'Hara (Minnesota commit, 29-15-44), junior Noelle Hemr (15-8-23), and talented eighth-graders Grace Laager (7-17-24) and Jaycee Chatleain (5-18-23) pace the Centennial/Spring Lake Park's offense. Their power play is dangerous at 28.3%.

On defense, senior Hannah Thompson (1-9-10), sophomore Alexis Larsen (3-5-8), and freshman Katie Ball (5-7-12) give Centennial/Spring Lake Park a nice mix of experience and youthful skill.

Junior Kaitlin Groess (.924 save percentage, 4 shutouts) has shouldered most of the goaltending duties for Centennial/Spring Lake Park this season, but they have given some starts to senior Anna Peterson (.942 save percentage, 1 shutout) as well.

Blake is coming off against Benilde-St. Margaret's. The Bears are led up front by seniors Sam Broz (Brown commit, 25-27-52) and Suzy Higuchi (Yale commit, 24-27-51) carry most of the scoring load for Blake.

On defense, seniors Jackie Wethington (4-8-12) and Charlotte Opp (0-6-6), as well as eighth-grader Addie Wethington (1-4-5), will be tasked with slowing down Centennial/Spring Lake Park's potent offense.

Blake has rotated at goaltender between senior Abby Ziehl (.886 save percentage, 1 shutout) and Janie McGawn (.943 save percentage, 3 shutouts) this season.
