Brainerd's Jared Erickson scores for the Warriors earlier this year

Up in International Falls this weekend will be the Bantam B North Regional Tournament. The Bantam B level always brings surprises and upsets. This tournament will be really tricky to predict, but we have an eye on a few top teams. The two District 15 teams (Brainerd and Moorhead) have played outstanding all year, and will come into the weekend as the top dogs. The host team International Falls will be looking to make some noise on the ice, and scoreboard. Here is a look at who TTW thinks will make it on to the big ice.. AKA the State Tournament.

Game 1: Lake of the Woods v Virginia - Lake of the Woods hasn't been tested much this year, besides a game vs Wayzata (Blue). In that game, LOTW wasn't able to score any, but only allowed five goals. Lake of the Woods is always a tough team to play come regionals, and that is because of a star goaltender. Lemuel Carradice has been strong between the pipes all seaason, and look for him to be strong in regions. Virginia started the season off to slow start, but has picked it up since those times. Virgina also has yet to been tested, but the games they play during regionals will not be easy to win.

Prediction: Lake of the Woods

Game 2: Brainerd v International Falls - Brainerd will be a favorite coming into the weekend. The Warriors have had a spectacular year, hlosing only three games all season. Brainerd had two nice wins over District 15 rival Moorhead, including a district championship win. Eli Sundquist and Layton Rivard have came up huge for the Brainerd this season. International Falls has also had a very successful season, going 27-11-0 through districts. This game will be a great one to watch.

Prediction: Brainerd

Game 3: Grand Rapids v Roseau - These two teams faced off up in Roseau earlier this year, and Grand Rapids won that game (6-3). Grand Rapids is a very skilled team, and have put together a great season. They were able to string together a record of 23-11-1 through districts. This squad is 8-2 in their last ten games, losing to one of the best teams in the state (Brainerd). Roseau has had an up and down season. They have won some good ones, but also lost some tough ones. Roseau is a team that will always compete, and they for sure will in regionals.

Prediction: Grand Rapids

Game 4: Moorhead v Warroad - Moorhead and Warroad have not yet played each other this seaason, but they both have played against Roseau. It is simple... Moorhead beat Roseau (9-0) and Warroad lost twice (8-1) and (4-1). The Spuds have had a real great season, finishing second in District 15. They will be one of the strongest teams up in International Falls. Warroad has not had a great season. Only putting up a few W's, Warroad has really struggled. Warroad has turned it around a bit lately, and I would still keep an eye on them during regionals.

Prediction: Moorhead

Final FourBrainerd > Lake of the Woods, Moorhead > Grand Rapids

Championship: Brainerd > Moorhead - Should be a spectacular game...

First Two Out: Warroad and Virginia

Moving on to State

Brainerd and Lake of the Woods

Lake of the Woods Goalie Lemuel Carradice could be the difference for the Bears come Regions.
