All Stillwater Red needed to take home the 12UB title was a single goal, and who better to score it than the Ponies' offensive catalyst, Brooke Nelson. 

Nelson put the Ponies ahead 1-0 at the 5:52 mark of the third period on a powerplay goal, and the Ponies held on for the right to call themselves state champions. Goaltender Zoe Laming rejected 24 shots, including seven in the third period, to preserve the shutout for the Ponies.   

Nelson finished her state tournament run with six goals and seven points, meaning she had a hand in all seven of the goals the Ponies scored over the weekend.
