MPH 7, Hometown Hockey 3

Gavin Kor saved his best for last. 

The MPH forward totaled two goals and three assists in Sunday's final, powering his MPH club to a 7-3 win over Hometown Hockey and a AAA State championship win and earning MVP honors in the process.  

Kor, Gabe Perron, and Ryder Betzold each scored once as MPH and Hometown traded goals in the first period. Riley Quinn and Ian Johnson put Hometown on the board in the first frame. Kor and Ayers-Assad drew blood first for MPH in the second, extending the lead to 5-2 before Hometown's Brent Solomon stopped the bleeding with a goal. 

The third period belonged to MPH in terms if possession, as it stretched its lead to 7-3 in the last four minutes on goals from Betzold and Hudson Adams.  


MPH's Gavin Kor recorded two goals and five points to lead MPH to the title on Sunday.
