Great Plains Leads 2006 Division Early On

Great Plains sits atop the Peewee Major leaderboard with a 2-0 record, outscoring opponents 16-2 in the process. Max Plante leads all scorers thus far with four goals and seven points for Great Plains, followed by Ben Miller with six assists and Brodie Ziemer with four goals. Brendan McMorrow also has four points. 

The Chicago Young Americans and the Twin City Selects emerge from the first day of competition with 1-1 marks and will face each other on Saturday morning. CYA came back from a 7-0 loss to Great Plains with a 10-1 win over the Northeast Wisconsin Jr. Gamblers, led by Charlie Arend's three goals and assist. Charlie Pardue finished the game with two goals an three assists for an impressive five points. 

After a 7-0 win over the Jr. Gamblers, the Twin City Selects fell to Great Plains by a score of 9-2. Through two games, Will Zellers and Conrad Fondrk lead the Selects in scoring five points each. The Jr. Gamblers will look for their first win on Saturday.

Max Plante, Great Plains 

Plante leads all skaters with four goals and seven points through two games and helped Great Plains score three goals in 33 seconds in the team's 9-2 win over the Twin City Selects. 

Will Zellers, Twin City Selects 

Zellers factored in five of his team's nine goals scored on Friday, scoring four times and assisting on one score. Zellers was named Player of the Game after the Selects defeated the Jr. Gamblers 7-0 after recording a hat-trick and adding an assist. 

Charlie Pardue, Chicago Young Americans 

After being shut out 7-0 by the Twin City Selects, Pardue led the Chicago Young Americans to a resounding 10-1 win over the Jr. Gamblers with two goals and five points. 

Zack Schave, Northeast Wisconsin Jr. Gamblers

Schave entered the crease in relief on Friday and turned away 15 of 18 shots for the Jr. Gamblers.
