Twin City Selects standout Will Dosan will play for Edina.

Boys Minor Division Preview

Duluth East

A strong defense should allow the Greyhounds to capitalize on opportunities up front, where Ryan McPartland could play a key role in the scoring. McPartland skated will during the 2018 Stars of Tomorrow tournament, recording three goals and six points. Key defenders include Cullen Ingebritson and Danny Klaers. Klaers totaled seven assists and 8 points at this year's North American Hockey Showcase, while Ingebritson tallied four assists and five points.

Edina

Consistent scoring threat Christian Garrity pairs well with two-way forward Will Dosan and rock-solid defender Logan Hensler for the Hornets. Garrity's stick-handling allows him to routinely lead three-on-three events in scoring, while Dosan earned AAA State All-Tournament honors and Hensler picked up an all-tourney nod during the Western States Invite.

Grand Rapids

A pair of standouts from The Show will the Thunderhawks up front, as Ryder Betzold and Junior Podein team up in orange. Betzold paced Team Minnesota during The Show with eight goals and 12 points, while Podein racked up nearly 30 points during the 2017 Show. Podein was also named Most Valuable Player of the 2017 Squirtacular after leading St. Louis Park to a runner-up finish with eight goals and 20 points. Defenseman Blake Kohnen was named to the AAA State All-Tournament and should help hold down the blue line for the Thunderhawks.

Minneapolis Southwest

Minneapolis Southwest may be one of the most balanced teams in the field, featuring quality players at both defense and forward. Among those skaters to keep an eye on are puck-moving defenders Carson Clark and Sam Laurila, who can feed their breakouts to smooth-skating forwards in Rowan Vaughn and Ashton Schultz. Schultz led the 2006 Division of The Big One in scoring with 13 total points.

Rochester John Marshall

The Rockets have the luxury of featuring The Show's leading scorer in Mason Jenson (14 goals, 19 points) and the Squirtacular's second-leading scorer, which also happens to be Jenson (eight goals, 16 points. Forwards Luke Myers and Andrew O'Neill offer the Rockets even more scoring options, while the back end can be held down by standout goaltending duo of Easton Cody and Michael "Fuzz" Aafeldt.

Mason Jenson (Rochester John Marshall) led The Show in scoring this past June.
