Moving into the No. 5 spot is Eagan, having won 10 straight games since a season-opening loss. The Wildcats will have four consecutive competitive contests leading into the new year, facing Lakeville North, Rochester Lourdes, Eden Prairie, and Lakeville South.

Wayzata moves down to No. 6 due to Eagan's impressive winning streak coupled with a Trojan loss to Lake Conference foe Edina. The Trojans will get their second crack at the Hornets on Jan. 15.

Mahtomedi enters the rankings even after having its six-game winning streak snapped in a 5-1 loss to Hill-Murray. The Zephyrs will face Class 1A, Section 4 opponents South St. Paul and St. Paul United (twice) in their next three games, all pivotal contests when it comes to section seeding.
