Class AA Notes

Blake rebounds nicely after a 5-4 loss to Hill-Murray with wins over Farmington 5-3 and a massive Section 6-2A victory over Edina 2-1 last week. The win over the Hornets pushes the Bears past Andover for the No. 2 spot.

Eden Prairie comes roaring back into the rankings at No. 8 after scoring wins over then-No. 5 Wayzata and then-No. 10 North Wright County. The Eagles may have the toughest schedule through the end of the regular season, squaring off against No. 7-2A Brainerd/Little Falls, No. 4-2A Edina, Minnetonka, and No. 2-1A Breck.

After suffering losses against Apple Valley and Burnsville, both South Suburban Conference rivals, Eagan drops from No. 7 to No. 10.

Duluth Marshall and Rochester Lourdes flip ratings, now at No. 9 and No. 10 respectively after the Eagles fall to South St. Paul in their only game of last week and the Hilltoppers win twice.

Mound-Westonka is still undefeated at 18-0-3 after earning wins over Orono, Holy Family Catholic, and Hutchinson. The Whitehawks' perfect mark will be tested in upcoming battles with No. 3-1A Proctor-Hermantown and Delano/Rockford.

Speaking of undefeated, Warroad's path to a perfect regular season has one possible hiccup, and it comes in the final game. The Warriors will take on Roseau on the road after beating the Rams 3-2 at home.
