The biggest shake up at any level comes at the 15As this week...wow. Tonka grabs the #1 spot after beating Edina Green. Wayzata Blue hops to number three after winning the Alex tourney. It doesn't end there, Eagan beats Roseville/St. Paul, they leap frog to number eight. We are hoping for more sanity this week - please girls restore some order!
Andover wins Stillwater and skates to #1

There are four or five great 12A teams in Minnesota. Besides Orono Westonka, all have had a stay at #1 this year. Sometimes we throw caution to the wind when ranking teams. This week, we may have gotten carried away moving Andover from #5 to #1. But if you pull back the onion, you will find a very young team with very talented forwards, a talented defenseman in Cailin Mumm and a great goalie (Layla Hemp). At this point in the season, the Huskies might be the best team after finally beating Stillwater in a champ game (after losing twice to the Ponies).

Moose Lake stays undefeated and are three wins away from the 30- win mark...can they be beaten? One-loss Red Wing moves up one spot, to number two as they help their case and win two more games this week. Osseo/Maple Grove (Crimson) moves up four spots to number four, the Leafbirds are on a 10- game win streak. Alexandria is up one spot this week, they are sitting at ninth in the state and also on a 9-game streak. Anoka- Rogers (White) is the top team in District 10, they close the rankings out at number 10. Apple Valley- Burnsville is just outside the rankings after beating number two Minnetonka (Black).
Roseau sweeps the Cupid Classic in Bloomington and is #4 this week in the rankings

Woodbury wins the Skate for the Roses - after a pool play tie with Champlin Park/Coon Rapids, they were able to beat the Bluebirds in the final 5-1. Roseau had no trouble in the Cupid Classic beating the competition 40-2 in five games...oh my. The top four teams (Woodbury, CPCR, Tonka and Roseau have separated themselves from the rest of the state.

This week the top 4 teams stay the same, with Proctor Hermantown (White), Hutchinson, Buffalo (Black) and River Lakes. Spots 5-10 all change drastically this week. Woodbury (Blue) hops up two spots up to number five, they lose to a tough Minnetonka team that is right on the bubble, the Predators move up as other teams in top 10 lose. Grand Rapids/ Greenway (Black) is new to the rankings this week at number six, they are currently on a seveb game win streak and are one win off of 20. Elk River closes the rankings out at number ten, they are having a very solid year.
