Orono cracks the top-10 after earning a win over New Prague and suffering a narrow 3-1 defeat at the hands of No. 3-A Mahtomedi. The Spartans replace Monticello, who lost to unranked Litchfield-Dassel/Cokato on Jan. 31. Sartell-St. Stephen also drops because of a loss on Jan. 31, with the Sabres falling to unranked St. Cloud by a score of 6-5.

Despite suffering losses, both Mahtomedi and East Grand Forks stay in their respective No. 3 and No. 4 slots, with the Zephyrs losing to No. 1-A Hermantown 2-1 in overtime and the Green Wave falling to Grand Forks Central. Grand Forks Central is 17-0 and ranked No. 1 in North Dakota.
