Willmar took a 2-1 lead after the first period in goals by Birgit Figenskau and Makenna Larson, but the advantage was short-lived, as the Rebels poured in five goals over the next two periods. In addition to Ribich and Hattenberger, Lily Kahara-Wallace and Hallie Klavu tallied one goal each for the Rebels

Payten Olson pulled Woodbury within one by scoring in the second period to make the score 2-1, but Kalea Homich answered in the same stanza to seal the win for Mankato.
