Kennedy Conference Preview

East Coast

Team East Coast looks to be a balanced group capable of winning games in different ways, with some experience playing together so there will be some familiarity amongst the group. Strong goaltending, a strong-skating defensive core with good mobility and quality puck skills will anchor the blue line, headed by Kevin Bonino and goaltenders Tyler O'Keefe and Neilan Johnson. Offensively, Team East Coast has a dynamic and diverse group of forwards with different capabilities, including size, skill, speed, and creativity. Forwards to keep an eye on include Luca Cannata, Max Colosimo, and Brody George.

Great Lakes

Goaltending could be the calling card for Great Lakes, with Cully Hayes and Jackson Chesak manning the crease. Chesak backstopped the Mahtomedi Sqiuirt A team to the title at the prestigious Fargo International, while Hayes provides impressive size between the pipes. Hayes hails from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and led the UMD Warriors to a championship at this spring's Independent Classic. Team Great Lakes includes skaters from the Madison Capitols, Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, and more.

Great Plains

Made up of players from Minnesota and North Dakota, Great Plains advanced to the championship game of last year's Show before falling to New England. This year's Great Plains squad features a handful of members from last July's Team Minnesota at the Brick Invitational, including solid goaltender Cash Cruitt and leading scorer Dylan Dean. Forwards Keaton Jundt and T.J. Hale racked up 17 and 10 total points respectively for the '08 Bakken Oilers at this May's The Big One Invitational. Head coach Connor Clark guided the '04 Great Plains team to the Bantam Elite League championship last fall, while assistant coach Kurt Halstrom led the Osseo-Maple Grove Bantam AA team to the state title this past March.

Manitoba

Three players from Saskatchewan and one from Ontario help make up Team Manitoba, with the majority of skaters coming from the Manitoba Xtreme program. The Xtreme recently rolled through the Male 2007 Division at this year's North American Hockey Classic, with Ryden Duchon pacing the team with 12 goals and 20 points. Forward Grayson Slaney recorded eight goals and 17 total points for the Xtreme. Cedric Chartier picked up five wins in six games in goal for Team Xtreme during two NAHC competitions in 2019.

Team International

Team International features players from Sweden, Ontario, Manitoba, California, and Minnesota. The team includes six players from the 2018 Brick International (Brek Liske & Zachary Lansard from Team Manitoba, Pacey Adduono, Lincoln Ayers-Assad, Axel Bisbee, and Avi Kasargod from Team Minnesota).  It will be a great opportunity to blend strong skill sets with diverse cultural backgrounds.  The coaching staff includes Joe Dziedzic, 1995's Mr. Hockey Minnesota from Minneapolis, Alex Bisbee (Minneapolis / MPH), Jeff Adduono (Thunder Bay Predators and former USHL), and Head Coach Ajay Kasargod (MPH).

The team is balanced by two solid goaltenders - Morgan Blackwood from Thunder Bay, the cousin of emerging NHL goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood, and Hudson Smith from Minnetonka. The Swedish Trio of Isaksson, Lundqvist, and Sundberg (whose father is the CEO/Head of Player Development of TopHockey Sweden) will bring a balance of skill and international playing experience.  Zane Torre from California brings a combination of size and smarts, Taylor and Adduono from Thunder Bay bring good speed and scoring ability, and the Manitoba duo of Brek Liske on defense and Zachary Lansard at forward bring a tremendous skill set and high-level playing experience.  There are several Minnesota players including speedsters Nate Chorlton, Ayers-Assad, and Landon Famigletti, and multi-dimensional players - Luke Puchner, Joe Fenlon, Bisbee, and Kasargod.

Team Pacific

In January, Team Pacific team member Eric Ripka shared a pond with Edmonton Oilers' forward Jesse Puljujarvi for a game of shinny. Next week, Ripka will take the ice with a host of stars, skating with a group Albertans and a handful of left-coasters ready for action. Based on past performance, forward Grayson Boe could provide an offensive spark for Team Pacific, with Boe racking up 11 goals and 18 points in 20 games this fall for his association team. Boe also dished out three assists for Team Alberta in the NAHC's Week 3 slate of games.

Team West

Spearheaded by LA Pros Hockey based out of Los Angeles, Team West looks to win games through superior tactics and active goaltending play. Outstanding puck movement and skating look to power the offense, which features standout players in Johann Verheem, Darin Cerasuolo, Adrian Morales, and 2009-born Nick Sanders.

Team Rocky Mountain won five games during the 2018 Show.
