Isaiah Pikora and Waylon Rivet celebrate during last year's Brick for the Detroit Red Wings.

B.C. Junior Canucks

A workmanlike mentality and a focus on discipline will be the hallmarks of the B.C. Jr. Canucks, a team that is coming off a 4-2-1 performance at last year's tournament and a first-round exit in the playoff round. The Junior Canucks pull players from all over the Pacific province.

Key Players: Jacob Dumansky, Brock Cripps, Jayden Simpson, Treyce Pavlic, Ollie Reid

Connecticut Jr. Rangers

A handful of Jr. Rangers competed at this year's Hockey Hall of Fame Future Legends tournament with the Junior Selects, helping power the group to a solid 4-2 record against quality competition. The Jr. Rangers finished 5-3 at last year's Brick, falling to Toronto Pro Hockey in the semifinals after slipping past Team Brick Alberta in the first round. Forward Caiden Pellegrino was the Junior Selects' high-scorer at the HHOF tourney, posting seven goals and 14 points in six games. Goaltender Jackson Soshnick should help on the defensive side, as the goaltender helped the '09 New Jersey Rockets to a second-place finish at the 2018 Shanahan International with a 6-1 record.

Key Players: Caiden Pellegrino, Robbie Matson, Rocco Pelosi, Jackson Soshnick (G)

Chicago Jr. Blackhawks

Again densely populated with players from the gold-standard Chicago Mission program, the Chicago Jr. Blackhawks will look to improve upon last year's 1-5 record in Edmonton. The Jr. Blackhawks had multiple players on the '09 Junior Selects team that competed at the Future Legends Hockey Hall of Fame Tournament, with Jacob Lukes recording four assists and five points to finish tied for fifth in team scoring.

Key Players: Jacob Lukes, Thaddeus McMahon, David Blasiak, Dennis Griffin (G)

Detroit Red Wings

Primarily fueled by talent from the Detroit Little Caesars program, the Red Wings have proven they can score goals, finishing tied for fourth in overall scoring during this spring's Toronto Pro Hockey Bauer Shootout with 16 tallies in four games. Diminutive forwards Colton Colby and Dasean Wilmarth showed well at this year's State Wars while playing for 2009 Michigan. Colby totaled five goals and seven points, while Wilmarth recorded five goals and six points. Trevor Daley was the team's high-scorer during the NHL Youth Cup with eight goals and 11 points. This year's Detroit Red Wings Brick team is coached by former NHL All-Star and Stanley Cup champion Brian Rolston.

Key Players: Colton Colby, Dasean Wilmarth, Trevor Daley, Keegan Korpi (G), Lilly MacLeish (G)

Toronto Bulldogs

The defending Brick champions have an excellent chance to repeat in 2019 with a balanced group that shouldn't lack for offensive production. Jake Murray, Lyndon Cabral, and Kaden Rolling all skated for the Grey Bruce Highlanders last season, a group that lost just nine games over the course of the season against quality competition. Kingston Harris is a multi-sport standout, both in hockey and in lacrosse. Harris was named Bud Donovan Tournament MVP in his Oakville Tyke 1 Hawks' run to the tourney championship in 2017.

Key Players: Lyndon Cabral, Jake Murray, Carter Lewandowski, Joshua Strizzi

Sasketchewan Jr. Pats

Make no mistake, the Sasketchewan Jr. Pats are committed to the hustle. The team rolls three lines deep, with each unit offering speed and tenacity. "Our team's character is relentlessness," said Assistant Coach Tristan Frei. "We have shown leading up to the Brick that we can overcome many forms of adversity." On defense, the Jr. Pats can wear down opponents with their physical strength and willingness to play inside the team's systems. The Jr. Pats went 3-2-1 in last year's tournament, with two of the three losses coming by a single goal.

Key Players: Kingston Lawford, Kayson Anderson, Chaz Dumanski, Brady Keith

Western Selects

The Western Selects will feature a Brick veteran in the form of Enzo Didomenicantonio, who skated for Team Minnesota last summer as an underage player. Didomenicantonio recorded 16 goals and 22 points for the Western Warriors at the North American Hockey Classic. Also skating for the Western Selects are players from the Los Angeles Jr. Kings, Anaheim Jr. Ducks, and the '09 Dallas Stars Elite group that won this January's NHL Youth Cup title. The Jr. Ducks finished second at the Youth Cup, losing to the Stars Elite in overtime.

Key Players: Enzo Didomenicantonio, Drew Fox, Noah Morrison, John Waterstreet, Grady Schaefer
