Brayden Thmpson, Team Manitoba 2018.

Boston Junior Bruins

A tough road in last year's Brick sent the Jr. Bruins home with a record of 0-3-3, and the Jr. Bruins will be looking to put their names in the win column in 2019. A handful of the players are from the prominent Boston Jr. Eagles and Boston Jr. Terriers programs, a pair of organizations that combined to go 66-20-16 at the '09 level last season. Both the Jr. Eagles and Jr. Terriers finished in the MyHockeyRankings top-five for the '09 birth year. The Jr. Bruins went 2-2 at this spring's Bauer Shootout and won its first-round playoff game in a 3-2 upset over the Toronto Bulldogs Brick team.

Key Players: Colin O'Leary, Ryan Elrick, Kellen Labanara, Kolton Kelleher

Team Brick Alberta

Facing the always-strong Team Brick Alberta could be particularly antagonizing this season, as the host squad returns after a loss in the playoffs last year with a team that puts a premium on speed and hunting pucks in the offensive zone. For Team Alberta, it could also come down to the little things, like winning puck races and playing committed defense. Speedy forward Ossie McIntyre piled up eight goals and 15 points in six games for NAS Elite at the NAHC, while Seamus Dillon and Landon Dupont totaled 11 and 10 points at last year's Spartan Canada Cup.

Key Players: Ossie McIntyre, Seamus Dillon, Landon Dupont, Jaxon Pisoni

Team Manitoba

Manitoba's strong suits during this year's Brick will be the typical calling cards of the province; strength and grit. Manitoba's defense is a tight unit and can shut down the opposing team's scorers with their technical prowess and physicality. When all of Manitoba's forward lines are clicking, the team's depth allows it to hang around throughout games. Team Manitoba went 4-3 in last year's Brick, bowing out after a 4-1 loss to the B.C. Junior Canucks in the first round of the playoffs.

Key Players: Asher Gingras, Ludvic Perrault, Ryland Moore

Team Minnesota

Playing up in multiple tournaments has worked well for Team Minnesota, as the group finished 4-2 in the 2008 Division at this spring's The Big One Invitational. Both Nolan Fitzhenry and Beckett Shillings concluded the tournament among the leading scorers with 13 and 11 points respectively. Also boding well for Team Minnesota is a de facto third-place finish at the Bauer Shootout, where the team lost to eventual champion Toronto Pro Hockey's Brick team in the semifinals. Both of Minnesota losses came against Pro Hockey during the tournament without primary players, while Minnesota scored wins over Brick foes in the Boston Junior Bruins, Detroit Red Wings, and Western Selects.

Key Players: Nolan Fitzhenry, Tony Timmerman, Beckett Shillings, Jaakko Wysick

Team Pennsylvania

Hailing from the Keystone state and beyond, Team Pennsylvania promises to be a hard-working bunch that will rely on depth at forward and mobility on the backend. Both goaltenders suiting up for Team Pennsylvania, Kamden Jackson and Jeremy Lowe, provide size and athleticism between the pipes. The team features six players from Pittsburgh Penguins Elite, an organization that went 32-11-5 last season and finished ranked No. 10 in the '09 age group in the U.S. according to MyHockeyRankings.

Key Players: Jesse Bruce, Braiden Scuderi, Nolan Snyder

Toronto Pro Hockey

Throughout the spring season, Toronto Pro Hockey has demonstrated a mixture of skill and speed from their forwards and a reliable defensive core and great goaltending as the team with players from across Ontario gear up for their opening game. Pro Hockey won two of three tournaments it entered this spring season, including a thrilling shootout win during one competition. All three forward lines can contribute for Pro Hockey, with the defensive corps held down by Christian Toma, Isaac Rodriquez, Aurora Matt, and Ryan Armour. The quartet has proven they can shut down top-end talent in any given game and scenario, where defensemen AJ Gladman and Max Mavrou showed they could provide offensive from the back end.

Key Players: Gensen Geldart, Tyler Lee, Nate Feiner, Noah La Gambia (G)

Team Quebec

A number of the members of Team Quebec skated for the Golden Kings during this year's Montreal Super Challenge, a promising sign for Team Quebec given that the Golden Kings went 6-0 during the tournament. Alexis Joseph, who played two years above his age group during the winter season, led the Golden Kings in scoring for the tourney with eight goals and nine points in five games. Joseph's Team Quebec teammate Zackary Edouard Hornet posted four total points in the five games. Team Quebec will need all the offensive firepower it can muster in a division with Team Brick Alberta and Toronto Pro Hockey. At last year's Brick, Team Quebec went 2-4 and missed the playoff round.

Key Players: Alexis Joseph, James Scantlebury, Ryan Hanrahan, Max Psarras (G), Nikola Antonacci (G)

Nolan Snyder will be a player to watch for Team Pennsylvania at the 2019 Brick.
