Jefferson Conference Recap

 Team USA, Team Midwest, Team South, and New England all scored wins in the Jefferson Conference on Monday afternoon and evening, creating a logjam that will dissipate as the tournament rolls along. Team Midwest stormed to a 7-2 victory over North America, primarily powered by a four-goal first period. Logan Ostricki scored two goals and added an assist in the win for Midwest, while Grady Miller also turned in a three-point performance with a goal and two assists.

Team USA scored four goals in each of the second and third periods en route to a 9-1 win over Team Minnesota. Jack Wheaton scored a hat-trick and added an assist for four points, and Filip Zizka and Matthew Wallace each chipped in with three points. Cayden Neice led Team South to an 8-4 win over Team North with a goal and two assists. Landon Amrhein scored twice in the win for Team South.

New England held off Team North America for a 6-3 win in one of the nightcaps, fueled by Spencer Thornborough’s two goals and two assists. Zach Steely added three points in the win.
