John Novak anchored the defensive corps for Lakeville South's Bantam AA team last year.

Danny Nelson, Osseo-Maple Grove Peewee AA

One of the rare players at the Peewee level that seemed to be on another plane, Nelson will suit up for the Bantam Elite League Major Division's Bruins squad. A great skater with a powerful stride and heavy shot, a small snapshot of Nelson productivity was his eight-goal, 11-point performance in four games at the 2018 Big Pumpkin Peewee tournament.

John Novak, Lakeville South Bantam AA

Novak is a physical defenseman who makes few mistakes in virtually every game situation. Novak spent time on both the power play and penalty kill units for the Cougars last season en route to a Bantam AA State Tournament appearance.

Wyatt Olson, Osseo-Maple Grove Bantam AA

A power forward's power forward, Olson has a penchant for bullying opposing players off the puck. Olson's hands help significantly around the opponent's net, where he can be found making the defense as uncomfortable as possible during the game. Olson and his Leafbird teammates steamrolled Lakeville South, Wayzata, and Chaska-Chanhassen by a combined score of 15-1 to win the 2019 Bantam AA state title.

Matt Vander Vort, Edina Bantam AA

Vander Vort is a smooth-skating forward with delicate hands who moves the puck well in all three zones. Vander Vort recorded three points in three games for District 6 at the Minnesota Hockey Spring Festival.

William Whitelaw, Shattuck-St. Mary's

Whitelaw is another player who advanced from the Peewee level to the high-powered program at Shattuck-St. Mary's, Whitelaw totaled 14 goals and 28 points. Whitelaw has reliable hands and skating, good on face-offs, and can line up at either center or wing on a forward line.

Wyatt Olson of Osseo-Maple Grove will dress for the Bruins for the BEL Major season.
