Pool A features the top Peewee B team in the state in Mahtomedi, ranked No. 1 in both the YHH NOW Rankings and the YHH Staff Rankings. The Zephyrs are 11-0 and boast a talented mix of veterans and upstarts from the association's dominant Squirt A team last season. 

Chaska-Chanhassen had a four-game winning streak snapped in a 6-4 loss to Prior Lake Gold, ending the Stormhawks' rebound attempt after starting the year 0-4-2. Edina Green's season has been bookended by wins, as the Hornets are coming off a 2-1 victory over Eden Prairie on Nov. 23. 

After a hot start, Woodbury Royal has gone 0-3-1 in its last four games, dropping the Royals' overall record to 6-7-1. On the plus side, the Royals have proven they can score, netting five or more goals four times this season.
