Squirt A is a great age of hockey to follow. The physical skill level is so high, but the emotional capacity is usually pretty low. A lesser team can get rolling and really good teams can't recover in a 36 minute game. The last two years have seen some major spikes and valleys. This year is no different. So far, Mahtomedi is on a spike, can they keep it rolling? Moorhead took a valley, falling to a very good Fargo team Saturday.

The Squirt B level is off to a fast start. Cottage Grove is the leader of the pack so far with six district 8 wins and win over Mankato. Both Stillwater teams are off to fast starts...Red is in #9 and Black beat T10 Hopkins. A nice balance of power between metro districts should mean for some great invitational tournament battles.
