PWA Pool B Preview

Three of St. Paul's four losses on the season have been by a single goal, pointing to a deep and balanced lineup for the boys from the capital city. None of the teams that have defeated the Capitals are slated to play in the Lumberjack Cup, and the Caps hold victories over tourney participants Stillwater PWA and Minnetonka PWA.

With separate winning streaks of four and five games this season, Delano has proven that it can win in bunches. The high-scoring Tigers have recorded six or more goals in a game six times this year, and have an overall record of 10-4-1.

Moorhead has had about as balanced of a season as you can get, numbers-wise. The Spuds are 5-5-1. They started the year with three straight wins and enter the tournament on a three-game skid. They've even with opponents through 11 games, scoring 53 goals while allowing 53. Three of the Spuds' losses have been by two goals or less.

The highest-rated team in the field, according to NOW Rankings, No. 3 Sartell rolls into Stillwater with a record of 15-1-2. The Sabres are 11-0-2 in their last 13 games and have not lost since a 6-3 defeat by Champlin Park's Peewee AA team.
