PWA Pool C Preview

Crookston has stayed close in most of its games, a testament to the fight of the Pirates. Three of the Pirates' six losses have been by two goals or less.

Considering its first game was played on Sept. 27, Marquette (MI) enters the weekend as the most experienced team in the field in terms of games played. The Jr. Wildcats had their 14-game unbeaten streak snapped in a 4-3 loss to the Soo Jr. Greyhounds, and will look to get back on track in Stillwater.

Osseo-Maple Grove has gone 3-1-1 in its last five games and appears to be ready for a deep run at the Lumberjack Cup. Five of the Leafbirds' eight losses have been by two goals or less, and the team has yet to lose during December.

Sibley Area took home the PWA crown during last year's Lumberjack Cup, and the No. 10 team, according to NOW Rankings, will attempt to do the same this weekend. The Warriors have lost just twice this season and have scored six or more goals in a game a half-dozen times.
